Answer:

Deforestation is a process where large quantities of trees are cut down, for commercial or personal purposes.

Desertification- Trees have roots, which bind the soil together. If we cut those roots, then the ground will become loose. Soon, the rain will wash away the fertility of the soil. Then no trees can grow in that region and it would become a desert. Also, trees help in bringing rainfall. If there are no trees, then there will be no rainfall, leading to desertification.

Sorry, I am only sure about the desertification part, but in the second part, I have no idea about it.

  1. Deforestation is the process of cutting trees on a large scale.
  2. When people cut trees, there is no grip on the soil and it leads to landslides and desertification.
  3. After deforestation, there are less number of trees in the forests and trees are the fuel for a forest fire.
