because of the indiscriminate cutting of trees, the roots of the trees don't hold the soil with them and also they don't act as an obstacle for the flowing water that may cause flood.
Hence, deforestation leads to frequent flooding.

Deforestation leads to frequent flooding because roots of trees and soil absorb water and if we will cut the trees then the water will not get absorbed by the roots which will lead to flood.
