Cutting down of trees loosens the grip of the roots holding the soil. As roots get loose then they cannot absorb water from the soil thus leading to frequent flooding of rivers.

deforestation is very harmful . we our cutting thousands of trees our needs . as the today's person never think about the nature and trees , he or she only thinks about himself or herself
trees are very important to us as they provide so much things which we cant afford to buy it
for ex - a person inhales the amount of oxygen which is equals to 6 cr. in a year.
trees also prevent us from flooding but due to the large scale of deforestation trees are fail in holding the water .that's why deforestation leads to frequent flooding of rivers.
