Hey !
_____________
Maximum of digestion gets completes in the small intestine by the action of enzymes and some other acids . There after completing digestion of food , the small intestine contains the finger like projections called villi. They absorb the digested food and one more important function of this is to increase the surface area of food absorption . Villi absorbs the digested food and transforms it into the blood thereby passing to all the organs of body .

The muscles of the small intestine mix food with digestive juices from the pancreas, liver, and intestine, and push the mixture forward for further digestion. The walls of the small intestine absorb water and the digested nutrients into your bloodstream.
