Distance is related to the time by the speed formula

  • Speed is defined as the rate at which the object moves and this is the basic concept in the motion of a body
  • The speed of and object is given by ratio of distance travelled by the object to time taken

                 speed = \frac{distance}{time}

  • The distance travelled by an object is directly proportional to time when speed of the object is constant

                distance=speed\times time

  • If any two values among speed, distance and time are known the third value can be calucated easily by the formula
