Plant and animals helps each other in exchange of gases in the atmosphere by the following process :
Plant takes carbon dioxide during photosynthesis and release oxygen into the atmosphere.
Similarly, animal takes oxygen release by plants during respiration .
Thus, plant and animals helps each other in exchange of gases in the atmosphere.

Plants and animals are most important organisms of earth. They both play a major role in maintaining the balance of ecosystem. While respiration, animals intake oxygen(O2) and exhale carbon (CO2), this CO2 exhaled out is used by plants for photosynthesis. While photosynthesis O2 is the by product which is again used up by animals.
