Hey!

• This phenomenon of seeing different colors in a rainbow is either through reflection or refraction.

Reflection : It is the phenomenon of striking of light on the surface and then reflecting back towards atmosphere.

Refraction : The passing of light through either denser or rarer medium i.e. oblique passing of light through a medium.

• Morever there are receptors like rods and cones in our eyes which lets us see the world around.

Rods are the photoreceptors present in retina essentially used to detect low light.

Cones are the photoreceptors essentially used to detect high amount of light. It determines the detection of color.

This is how we see, due to mixed combination of rods and cones.

Hope it helps!

Answer:

hope this helps you :)

Explanation:

The retina of a human eye has a large number of light sensitive cells. These cells are of two types, i.e., rod cells and cone cells. It is these cone cells, which make it possible for a person to see different colours and distinguish between them.
