Answer:

baking soda contains only one ingredient that is Sodium Bicarbonate, where as baking powder contains 2 ingredients that is baking soda and some other acid.

Explanation:

Baking soda is chemically known Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate with Chemical formula as NaHCO3.

Whereas Baking powder is a mixture of baking soda and tartaric acid.

As baking soda is basic in nature of Tartaric acid is added to neutralize its basic nature. So that it can be used for cooking purposes and their reaction produces CO2 which helps in cooking spongy and fluffy cakes.
