Answer:-

(C) Leaves have a large surface area so more light hits them. The upper epidermis of the leaf is transparent, allowing light to enter the leaf. The palisade cells contain many chloroplasts which allow light to be converted into energy by the leaf.

(D) Veins have vascular tissues xylem and phloem . Leaves need water for photosynthesis and the water is transported from roots to leaves through xylem. Veins are spread all over the leaves ,so they can easily transport water to all the cells of leaves.

(E) The chloroplast. This photosynthetic organelle contains three distinct membranes (the outer membrane, the inner membrane, and the thylakoid membrane) that define three separate internal compartments (the intermembrane space, the stroma, and the thylakoid (more...)

(B) Plant epidermal cells do not contain chloroplasts, the cellular organelles that contain the necessary chlorophyll for photosynthesis.

(A) The air spaces in a plant are called the stomata and the boundary layer. ... The opening of each stomata is guarded by specialized cells called stoma. When the stoma allow the stomata to open, transpiration increases and when the stomata close, transpiration decreases.
