Energy is tapped from wind by building windmills and maintaining them.
Water-- Using geothermal energy for water present under ground in the form of steam. Thermal energy and osmotic energy are two other ways.
Biomass-- Using biodegradable waste and converting them to biogas.
Tides-- tidal energy power plants use the motion of the tides to run a turbine which in turn rotates a motor to produce electricity.
