Explain how forest are being exploited

Forest are being exploited by increasing population and others also but my view is that increasing population is main because if population increase so so people make houses in land and cut forest for making houses and they also want food and for doing agriculture we cut place which is fertile and forest is suitable place for that. So forests are being exploit.
