This is a government owned department which looks after the management of forests. All the forests are owned by the government. The forest department makes policies in order to control and manage the forest resources. The forest department also takes various actions towards conservation of forests and wildlife.

Industrialists are mainly interested in profit making. For them, short term goals matter more than long term goals. They are more interested in taking raw materials at the cheapest possible rates so that they could earn huge profits. Hence, industrialists are usually not interested in protection of forests.
