During meosis the chromosome no. is halved so that on fertilization the normal no. can be retained. Four daughter cells are produced.

we know that there are 22 pair of chromosomes are found in human beings.
But at the time of cell division one pair of chromosomes is different in male.
Due to this it leads to male child or daughter child.
