geothermal energy from hot springs and geysers has been harnessed in Iceland,new Zealand, Philippines ,USA and Italy.It is a renewable resource of energy and does not cause pollution.
advantages:

disadvantage :
located far away from cities and so costly to transport the electricity

Geothermal energy is produced by the heat of earth molten interior extremely hot rocks present below the surface of the earth heat that the water and converted into streams show two holes can be drawn into Earth in the region of hot rocks and two pipes can be put into them from the pipe water is supplied in to the earth attracts convert the water into steam the stem so formed comes up through the second Pipe and run turbines to generate electricity
