Tidal energy is a form of hydropower that converts the energy of the tides into electricity or other useful forms of power. The tide is created by the gravitational effect of the sun and the moon on the earth causing cyclical movement of the seas .

hope you have understood

akritiv05: and 1 limitation?
abhinavprajit: -Very few sea coasts in the world have suitable sites for the purpose of harnessing tidal energy.

-The rise and falls of tides that happen only twice in a day is not sufficient to generate electricity continuesly
abhinavprajit: happy ??
