Explain how lysosomes help in the defense of the cell.

Lysosomes do this because they're membranous vesicles (bags) filled with powerful digesting enzymes.

Lysosomes role in defence:

Kills pathogens by secreting the digestive enzyme over it.

Digestion and cleansing :

Worn out cell organelles or dead cell organnelles are digested by the same enzymes and hence cells are cleansed.

Suicidal bags : these enzymes might be released sometime due to disturbances and all the contents of the cell are killed. Hence the enzymes digests it's own cell..

lysosomes contain chemical substances enzymes that are capable of digesting cells and a variety of intra- and extra -cellular materials. In times of emergency, lysosomes burst burst and destroy the cell.

if any diseases enter the body, the enzymes present in lysomes burst the cell,  so that the diseases will not spread to the other cells.
