Dalton's atomic theory says that matter is made up of indivisible particles called atoms. But the modern atomic theory contradicts it by saying that atom is a divisible particle that can be divided into protons, electrons and neutrons.

Lets See How Modern Atomic Theory Contradicted Dalton's Atomic theory :-

  • Dalton first Theory Was that Atoms Are Indivisible Particles Which cannot be divided any Furthur . But Now we Know that Atoms Can Be Divided Into Three Sub Atomic Particles namely,'Electrons , Protons and Neutrons'.

  • According To Dalton's Atomic theory All Atoms Of Same Element Have a Same Mass and Chemical Properties. However Now We Know That In a Given element There are Certain Atoms Called 'Isotopes' which Have Different Mass and Chemical Properties Than rest of the Of The Atoms of Same Element.

  • According To Dalton's Atomic Theory Atoms Of Different Elements Have Different Masses. However Now we Know that There Are Some Atoms Of Different Element Called 'Isobars' have Same Mass

Hope it helped
