Answer:
Migration is a way to move from one place to another in order to live and work. Movement of people from their home to another city, state or country for a job, shelter or some other reasons is called migration.
- It is expected that the population of the developed regions will start to decline in size, as the net inflow of migrants will no longer be sufficient to compensate for the excess of deaths over births. The impact of outmigration on population growth in the developing regions is expected to remain minimal.
- The rate of population growth is the rate of natural increase combined with the effects of migration. Thus a high rate of natural increase can be offset by a large net out-migration, and a low rate of natural increase can be countered by a high level of net in-migration.
- Indeed, for the next several decades, it is expected that
elevated levels of fertility in the developing regions will
continue to dwarf the role of net migration, which is
negative but relatively small.
