wool- the fleece of the sheep.along with thin layer of skin is removed from the body.this process is called shearing.the sheared skin with hair is thoroughly washed in tanks to remove greece,dust and dirt.this is called scouring.after scouring sorting is done.the hairy skin is sent to a factory where hair of different textures are separated and sorted.the small fluffy called Burt's are picked out from the hair. these are the same burrs which sometimes appears in your sweaters.the fibres are dyed in various colours.the fibres are straightened, combed and rolled into yarns.
