A normal Eye can see distant as well as near object clearly,by changing the focal length of lens. When Eye has to look at nearby object the ciliary muscle of eye contract. When eye has to look distant object it is in unaccommodated state (relaxed state).

Our eyes can see these by adjusting the size of pupil. When need to see distant object it will elongate and adjust itself such that thin line of line enters... When need to see nearby object pupil will shorten and gets broader.
