Pancreas secrets insulin and glucagon in the body that maintains the level of glucose thus it acts as endocrine gland.
Pancreas also secrets pancreatic juice in the duodenum through ducts there fore it also acts as exocrine gland.
Since it acts as both exocrine and endocrine glands.. It is a heterocrine gland.

Hope it Is useful.

Hi Dude

First of all you should know what are heterocrine glands.

These are those glands which function both as endocrine as well as heterocrine gland.

Pancreas act as Exocrine because it release certain enzymes which are functional in digestion.

Pancreas act as Endocrine as it releases insulin which is necessary for maintenance of blood glucose level.Hence pancreas is a heterocrine gland.
