Explain how panchayats have been the backbone of Indian villages?

Panchayats have been backbone of indian villages because they are the leaders of the village.  They control everything that happens in the village.  From small festivals to new house building everything is controlled by the Panchayats. Thus Panchayats ate backbone of Indian villages.

Panchayati raj system is in the indian villages.In this system one person is at the high pedestal who is called as sarpanch .Sarpanch is also known as the village heafmen or mukhiyan.This system have 5 members including sarpanch .They decides case and have meeting about the service or facility of the village.Thats why it is known as the backbone of Indian villlages.
