Because in series circuit the load on one line gets devided among the loads in that line and the first load keeps the higher load and the load decreaseses as we go further with adding more loads.

But in a parallel circuit the loads are on different lines so each and every load gets equal energy the energy is saved by a little bit as compared to the series circuit.
