Work=potential×charge

Also work = Kinetic energy

So KE= q×V

From this equation we understand if enough energy is given the electrons will have a certain KE and to stop the ejection of electron we have to to do some work =q×V

Here V is stopping potential

So stopping potential is directly proportional to KE amd KE only depends on frequency not intensity
