The stomata have two gard cells which controls the opening and closing of stomata.The stomata helps in respiration and transpiration.

Plant leaves have small openings, called stomata, all over their surfaces. The stomata open to absorb thecarbon dioxide needed to perform photosynthesis. They also open to release the oxygen produced by this process.
