Answer:

Pressure is directly proportional to the applied force. Whereas as the area increases, the pressure decreases. i.e. it increases with the decrease in area. Since area in the denominator, we can say that it is inversely proportional pressure.

Eg.

If a person is pushing a desk across the room, then there is an applied force acting upon the object. The applied force is the force exerted on the desk by the person.
