Explain how relevant is the concept "Atithi Devo Bhava" (Guest is our God)​

“Athithi Devo Bhava" is the Sanskrit word taken from the Hindu scriptures and which became "part of the code of conduct" for the Hindu society. "AditiDevoBhava" means "guest is our god". India attracts millions of tourists each year.

Hi,

The following is my thought on the given topic:

"Guest is our God".

This is a very hospitable and caring quote. When you treat a guest as "God", it does not actually mean that you're going to worship him/her. However, the implication which is being tried to be made is that your guest is your TOP MOST PRIORITY.

If God as a person were to come to your home, you would treat him with utmost luxury and give him your best of hospitality. In the same way, treating a guest as God, would mean that you too would have to deliver the ultimate feeling of service and coziness to your guest.

This type of principle is applied to many hotels, restaurants, dhabas and diners all over India, I myself have across some of them and the services rendered by them is almost to fully impeccable.
