Sangoli rayanna participated in the 1824 rebellion and arrested by british. After he was released, again he continued to fight with british. Rayanna was not defeated by british troops in open battle and “by treachery” he was dead. Sangoli rayanna was buried in Belagavi district near Nandagad on 26 th January 1831.
