During the Mesolithic Age, the people used stones. They made weapons from stones to hunt and kill animals. They started using stones for everything. The tools and weapons made from small chipped stones are called microliths. They also soon started making fire and used it. They started cooking the meat and also used it to stay safe from animals. It became a very important source for them. This then led to the Neolithic Age.
