Of in terms of temperature and precipitation of a place varying in terms of place the reasons are:-

1)latitudinal extent and curvature of Earth which results into the formation of three temperature belts.

2)Altitude of a place as it temperature decreases with increasing altitude.

In terms of precipitation,It depends upon:-

1)the distance from sea and direction of winds.

2)Also the temperature belts as warm air can gold more water vapour and vice - versa ,thus places having higher temperatures receive rainfall and vice -versa
