Make a five fine holes A B C D and E at different points near the edge of lamina. Hang this lamina on a wall with the help of a nail that passes through the hole A. Check the lamina whether it is free to rotate in vertical plane about the nail. Also suspended a plumb line line from the same nail. You can make a plumb line by tying a small stone at one end of a thread. When lamina comes to rest draw the line AA' along the plumb line. Repeat the experiment by hanging the lamina from points B C D and E one by one. Draw lines BB' CC' DD' and EE' respectively. You will find that a point G is point of intersection of all these lines. G is the centre of gravity of the lamina.
