Conservation of momentum means that the initial momentum and final momentum are conserved. And Newton's third law also states-:
To every action there is equal and opposite reaction. Suppose for an example, you slapped anybody. So there would be equal pain in your hands when compared to somebody else's face. that's the other case that u will not feel the pain in ur hands due to its hardness.
