We will have carcasses of dead creatures everywhere. The soil will not get humus which will harm plants. Less plants = dying herbivores. No herbivores = no carnivores.

KristinaChhetri: too short answer can you answer a bit longer
SuhaniM: If dead bodies don't decay, the soil will not get humus. If the soil is infertile, plants won't grow. If there are no plants, herbivores will not be able to eat or lives. If there are no herbivores, carnivores and omnivores get affected directly and indirectly. This breaks the food cycle. So, decomposers are important.
KristinaChhetri: thanks a lot
