Algae is a photo synthetic plant so when iy grows and multiple, it absorbs carbondioxide which is dissolved in water.

When Algea absorb carbondioxide is absorbed by it other plants suffer due to lack of efficient carbondioxide.

Exept this algea covers surface of ponds and other water bodies due to which other organisms cannot grow there.

It also makes the water body unhygenic due to production of biotic wastes.

Hope it helps you a lot friend.....................
