The human ear works to convert the sound stimulus into neural responses to hear the sound
Explanation:
- The sound from the environment travels as sound waves to the ears. The external ear gathers the sound waves and sends them to the ear canal
- The sound waves move and make the ear drum to vibrate.
- The vibration of the ear drum will set the three bony ossicles into motion
- The ossicle movement will in turn make the cochlear fluid to move
- The movement of cochlear fluid will drift the hair cells according to the pitch of the sound, which get converted to electrical neuro pulses.
- These pulses are transmitted to the brain by the auditory nerves for auditory reception and sound interpretation
