Irrigation is the process of supplying water to the crop. Irrigations is necessary to maintain the moisture in the soil.

Plants can also absorb the required nutrients easily due to irrigation. Each crop requires different soil condition. For eg.

Crops that grow in sandy soil need more water since the more water cannot be retained by them. But the crop growing in clay soil require less water to flourish.
