the pesticides and fertilisers user for getting a good yield are very harmful to not only tertiary consumers but for every organism. if pesticides are used in excess the the extra pesticides are taken away by the rivers into larger water bodies and this may even enter the ground water and harm the users of ground water. the pesticides which enter the larger water bodies may be consumed by primary consumers , secondary consumers and even by the tertiary consumers . since the tertiary consumers depend on secondary consumers which depend on primary consumers are largely affected by these chemicals and these get accumilated in the body of the organism and cause harm to the organism and sometimes this may even lead to the death of the organism . the accumilation of chemicals in the body of an organism is known as biological magnification.
