explain how the phototropic movement take place in plant ?

This causes the plant to have elongated cells on the farthest side from the light.Phototropism is one of the many plant tropisms or movements which respond to external stimuli. Growth towards a light source is called positive phototropism, while growth away from light is called negative phototropism (skototropism).

Tropic movements are those movements that occur in direction of stimulus. In phototropism the stimulus is sunlight. And the action is carried out by the plant hormone named as auxin. For example. When sunlight falls on the plant say right side the the hormone gets collected to the left side as auxin prefers to stay in shady part. Now more auxin is in the left side therefore left side will grow quickly comparing with the right this results in bending of the plant to the right side. We often see plants kept in our room near the window get bend towards the window...
