There are specialized cells present in plants which transport food and other substances throughout the plant body. These specialized tissues are called Vascular tissues. There are two types of vascular tissues; Phloem and Xylem.
Phloem is responsible for the transportation of food from leaf to other parts of a plant whereas xylem transport water from roots to the rest of the parts of a plant.
