• Over the years the scope of rights has expanded. Sometimes it leads to expansion in the legal rights that the citizens can enjoy.

• From time to time the courts give judgements to expand the scope of rights. Certain rights like Right to Information and Right to Education are derived from the Fundamental rights.

• The governments are responsible for providing free and compulsory education to all children up to the age of 14 years. Parliament has extended a law giving the right to information to the citizens. This Act was made under the Fundamental Right to Freedm of thought and expression. We also have a right to seek information from the government offices.

• The supreme court has expanded the meaning of the right to life to include the right to food. Also, Rights are not limited only to Fundamental rights as enumerated in the Constitution.

Due to the above reasons, we can say that The scope of rights are updated and are expanded from time to time
