The oxygenated and deoxgenated blood are exchange in lungs i.e., alveoli. Inside the lungs, the primary bronchus divides and redivides to form a network called "bronchial intercom". The finest branches called alveoli. There are about 750 million alveoli in both the lungs of Man which collectively provide a surface area of about 100 Sq. Meter which is more than 50 times that of skin (about 1.6 s.q. meter )
