the variation in state is matter is due to change in inter molecular space between the particles of matter. and the inter molecular space changes due to change in temperature. as temperature rises intermolecular space increase and vice versa.
if a matter is in liquid state at room temperature when we heat it change s to gaseous state and if u decrease temperature it changes to solid-state.
