The title Heart of the Tree is appropriate because the heart is one of the most important parts or organs of our body. The human heart pumps the blood, it is able to transport oxygen to the other parts from the heart. Likewise, a tree has certain qualities which are essential as human heart for survival.

Trees are essential for the harvest of the coming age, trees cause rainfall, trees like human heart provide us with sap and leaf of wood, (ie)all the required minerals and vitamins. Thus the tree here is compared with human heart. It can be concluded that the title is appropriate as the poem is about trees and their importance for the survival of mankind.
