in the above figure angle NML +angle MLK= 100+80=180

Since the sum of co interior angles is 180; and

A trapezium is a quadrilateral with a pair of parallel sides

NM is parallel to KL

To show:-

The given figure is trapezium.

Solution:-

We know that,

Trapezium is a closed figure or we called it quadrilateral which consists of four sides and four angles. In this pair of one opposite sides are parallel and one pair of opposite sides are not parallel. Sum of two angles forms on same side of transversal is 180°.

The given figure is trapezium because

NM is parallel to KL

This is closed figure.

One pair of opposite sides are not parallel.

It have four sides.

And It also have four angles.

∠M + ∠L = 180° [ 100° + 80° = 180°]
