given,

expression : 4r^-3 × 2 r^2

here first ,we have to make the base same by splitting 4 = 2× 2 = (2)^2 , after when the base will become similar , then we have to add the exponent of similar bases. whether the figures are constants or variables

everywhere same rule will be applied. its mathematical explanation given below ,

=> 4r^-3 2r^2

=> ( 2 )^2 r^-3 × 2 r^2

=> ( 2 )^2 × 2^1 × r^-3 × r^2

=> 2^( 2 + 1 ) × r^( -3 + 2 )

=> 2^3 × r^-1

=> 8 r^-1 = > 8 / r
