 Given \: 3 \times \Big(4 \frac{1}{5}\Big)

 = 3 \times \Big( 4 + \frac{1}{5}\Big)

/* By Distributive Property*/

 \boxed{\pink{ x(y+z) = x \times y + x \times z }}

 Here , x = 3 , y = 4 \: and \:z = \frac{1}{5}

 = 3 \times 4 + 3 \times \frac{1}{5}

 = 12 + \frac{3}{5}

 = 12\frac{3}{5}

Therefore.,
