Untreated industrial waste is harmful to us in many ways as:
Industrial waste contains many toxic and carcinogenic materials which are harmful to humans. Hence, it has to be treated properly so that none of the toxic waste escapes outside.
In case the toxic waste escapes into the environment, it can poison the surrounding flora and fauna and also pollute the sources of water such as rivers and the underground water.
Once it finds its way to the human body, it affects the nervous system by causing imbalance of chemicals and blocking the nerves from conducting electrical impulses which is fatal for humans.
