for the photosynthesis to take place the initial substance are water and carbondioxide in presence of sunlight . if these are avaible the final products out are gulcose and oxygen
equation -> 6CO2(CARBONDIOXIDE)+6H2O(WATER) -------> C6H12O6(GLUCOSE)+6O2(WATER) ------------{THIS PROCESS ALWAYS OCCUR IN SUNLIGHT}
if initial products are not there then photosynthesis in plants wont occur
inshot if water is not absorbed by roots or if carbondioxide is not absorbed by leaves photosynthesis wont occur
therefore absorbtion of water and carbomdioxide helps the photosynthesis to occur
