Water from lakes, oceans, rivers ,etc evaporates due to sun's heat and change into vapours and rises upward from the Earth's surface. This then expands and cools due to power temperature. Cooling of vapours change the gaseous form of water into either liquid or solid state. This process is called condensation. When the process of evaporation, condensation continues the particles grow bigger in size.Hence they come back to the surface of Earth in the form of either rain or snow, sleet or hail etc.,which is called precipitation. Hence the cycle completes and water gets renewed...

The various water resources are oceans, lakes, rivers, etc. The water from these sources is evaporated by the heat of the sun then it forms water vapour this vapour condenses and forms clouds when these clouds strike each other the water precipitates and comes down in the form of rain. This is how the water lost by the earth comes back to it. This process is known as water cycle. Thats why water resources are renewable sources of energy.
