In order to in the density, we must know the mass and volume of the the solid, mass can be easily found by a physical balance. let it be M gram to find volume,take a measuring cylinder and pour in it some water record the volume from graduations let it be 50 cm³ now to the given solid to a thread and lower in it gently in the measuring cylinder, such that it is completely immersed record the new V 75 cm ³ therefore, volume of solid=(75 – 50)cm³ = 25cm² = Volume cm³(support).
